Producing With Beat Kangz’ Beat Thang – Part 3
“Once you’ve got the drum loop bangin’, do a scratch rap track and make it as close to finished as you can. Once you have the drum loop, bass, and rap track, then you can start filling in the empty spaces. Remember, rap beats are all about drum beats and words. The Boombox on AOL: Dallas Austin Sheds Light on Beat Thang, New Artist + More

Dallas Austin at The BET Awards
Dallas sat down with The Boombox to tell them about the Beat Thang.

Dallas Austin is sagacious. The esteemed songwriter-producer knows what works and what doesn’t when it comes to his music business.
