British by birth, Alan's celebrated musical career has achieved international acclaim for his work in Classical, Rock, Contemporary Christian and Film genres. His creative genius is multi-faceted, having produced, performed, composed and arranged orchestral pieces for over 100 major release albums, while working with some of the worlds most renowned artists and leading record labels.
Though recognized as one of rocks leading guitarists, Alan is a classically trained graduate of London's Royal Academy and holds an A.R.C.M from England's Royal College of Music. He was a founder and board executive of the British Record Producers Guild, along with chairman Sir George Martin and colleague Alan Parsons.
AS the Producer
Alan is esteemed as one of the industries greatest, having received three Grammy nominations and multiple platinum, gold and silver discs, as well as amassing worldwide chart success. He has produced projects in some of the record industries leading recording studios including; Abbey Road (UK), Ocean Way (LA), and Electric Lady (NYC) Grande Armee (Paris)
In mainstream music, Alan has produced such legendary artists as Roger Daltrey (The Who), The Alarm, Meatloaf, Jeff Beck, Mike Oldfield, Bonnie Tyler and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
In the Contemporary Christian arena, Alan has produced such luminaries as Phil Keaggy, Graham Kendrick, Paul Oakley, and mixed the Newsboys.
Alan has also produced title tracks for the major motion picture releases; "Quicksilver" starring Kevin Bacon, "Doc Hollywood" starring Michael J. Fox, and "Buddy's Song" starring Roger Daltrey and Chesney Hawkes, for whom Alan produced the million unit seller, "I am the One and Only", which the "Guinness Book of World Records" immortalized Chesney as, "The UK's youngest and longest standing artist as #1."
AS the Composer
Alan's credits include, EMI's Songwriter of the Year Award for the #1 hit, "True Believers", by the Christian music veteran Phil Keaggy, and was nominated as BMI's Songwriter of the Year for the progressive rock band, "Babe Ruth" of which Alan was the founder. "The Mexican" has since been embraced as the worlds official 'break dancers' anthem and has recorded and honored in full or part by the following artists; Pete Rock,Grand Master Flash, Sugar Ray, R. Kelly, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and Thalia and Mark Anthony, a US #1 album for the EMI Latin Label. “The Mexican” was also nominated for a BAFTA award for the soundtrack of “B-BOY”on SONY.
Alan conducted and wrote the original scores for "Puffins" and "One Man's Island" which were performed by the London Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras, both BBC/PBS wildlife documentaries for "The Natural World", which premiered at the Royal Festival Hall in London. He also composed conducted and performed on the original score for the Soccer World Cup in 1994.

AS the Educator
Alan is currently Senior Lecturer at SAE institute Nashville, and Adjunct Professor of Classical and Commercial Guitar at Belmont University Nashville.
